I made the mistake of buying Zach Valentines that he really liked (Cars, Monster Trucks & Bob the Builder) to give away. When he saw them, he decided he was not going to give them away, but was going to keep them all for himself. He even put them in his bedroom next to his bed. I decided not to push the issue during the week (was waiting to make them on the weekend with the kids), but when he arrived at preschool on Thursday morning and received a few Valentines from his friends, he immediately changed his mind and came home wanting to make Valentines for all his friends and family. We worked on them for well over an hour tonight. Zach was very particular about choosing just the right one for each person, saying, "I think XX will really like this one." It was adorable and it amazes me (and really scares me!) just how how much influence peers can have on kids and their decisions!
Abby is always game for an art project...here she is writing on the back of her stickers...
Zach did a great job choosing just the right Valentine for each of his friends and family members.
